When I first got him for 17 icon swaps, I was a little bit skeptical and kinda regretted my decision. But what a player he turned out to be. He can score from anywhere, he scores long shots, headers, left footed shots, you name it. I play him CAM in a 41212(2) behind 2 fast strikers. He plays killer through balls and sometimes makes the runs himself. Overall, he's a great card and I would recommend him for anyone in need of a Cam for their team

I got him out of my Prime Icon Swap.. First, I wasn't happy, ofcourse, a 90 rated Rui Costa that only goes for around 175-200k. But I decided to give him a try since I don't have a lot of coins in my club, and WOW! He is worth a lot more than 175k if you'll ask me. He is an bargain!
I've decided to write this review to let you guys, if you're reading this, know that he is worth his money, and don't be upset about getting him in your icon swaps!
I am currently using him in a 41212(2) as the CAM on stay forward. He is amazing in keeping his positioning, asking the ball and making spaces for my 2 strikers (tots Rashford and 83 rated Osimhen). Some games I change up the formation to a 4231, with Costa as the central CAM. He really is the that type of player that doesn't look amazing ans isn't that expensive, but he is gooood.
I would also recommend using a 'maestro' chem style on him. His pace is really avarage for a CAM and enough, the maestro chem style gives him a really 'smooth' feeling on passing, dribbling and his longshots are amazing.
I played some games with IF Firmino, IF Eriksen, etc... But I prefer Prime Rui Costa. I don't think I will replace him soon.
He also has a 4*4*, which in my case feels like a 5* WF.

He is a very good CAM but only if used correctly. His workmates and passing stats allow him to stand in place in the midfield and make good passes. He will get many assists as his passing is great. Don't expect too many goals from him though, he isn't the best finisher; he has had many 1 on 1 chances for me where he's completely missed the goal, and thats when I had a composure boost. I used a Sniper on him for around 200 games, then a Marksman for around 60. Sniper is definitely the better option. His dribbling is decent, so he can be versatile in this manner.
